Consults Available
Discovery & Foundations Consult
The Discovery and Foundations consult is a 1:1 consult providing immediate supportive sleep advice for adults (from 18 years of age).
Contact us from anywhere in the world and receive support through the sleep challenges you are facing. Sometimes all you need is someone to talk to who’s faced a number of sleep challenges and is qualified to help you with yours.
ABOUT THE CONSULT
- This is an initial consult. It is for 60 to 90 minutes and is conducted online via telehealth (video call).

- You’ll be sent an intake form to complete prior to the consult. By completing it prior to the consult it captures a health history and identifies potential red flags which allows us to fully focus on your sleep concerns and discuss solutions, collaborating on a roadmap to better sleep in the consult.
IN THE CONSULT
- Additional questions may be asked to gain a thorough understanding of your health and wellness history, your sleep challenge and potential contributors to the challenge;
- Functional tests or standard blood tests and/or questionnaires may be recommended;
- A discussion around the foundational aspects that underpin a good sleep will be discussed;
- Receive the dietary changes and supplement recommendations that are most important for you at the time of the consult;
- A roadmap, or steps, to better sleep will be discussed;
- Handouts may be provided to help you understand your body and sleep better.
AFTER THE CONSULT
- Within 24-48 hours after the consult you’ll receive an email with notes of our discussion and a sleep plan and roadmap to better sleep (actionable sleep suggestions), usually in dot points.
- The Sleep Plan may include a prescription for natural health products., along with a script for these products from either Vital.ly, Ariya Health or Natural Script. Your script will be emailed from one of these companies. You may unsubscribe from their email list at any time.
- You'll receive complimentary access to the Healthy Sleep Foundations course through our Patient Portal. Instructions on how to access this course and the patient portal are usually sent in the email containing your invoice.
- You'll receive two weeks of email support after the consult. The Naturopath will check in each week for two weeks, via email. You may also email the Naturopath or contact them via the Patient Portal within these two weeks with any questions or concerns.
- Please book a follow up consult within 4-6 weeks after the completion of the complimentary two weeks of support, for additional support and review/adjustment of the sleep plan and prescription.
RESTORING SLEEP HEALTH IS A PROCESS
It can take time to shift sleep challenges in adults. This is because there are often many factors at play. For example there may be a mix of hormonal or neurotransmitter imbalances, gut disturbances and poor dietary and lifestyle choices that are impacting sleep. It also requires you to put in some work, make some changes and give things a try for at least 4-6 weeks.
From the Discovery and Foundations Consult you’ll walk away with a sleep plan that contains recommendations to begin to improve your immediate sleep challenge, as well as lay the healthy foundations needed for great sleep. You’ll also receive a roadmap (steps) of what needs to be done to sleep better, wake refreshed and have great energy throughout the day. You can then take what you have learned and work on your sleep yourself, or you can continue your care with me where I’ll support you to implement the sleep plan and follow the roadmap to better sleep.
Sleep SOS Email Consult
Email support is an affordable way to receive support to improve sleep. Email consults are for all ages.
ABOUT THE CONSULT
- Cost: Please see the booking page for pricing and to book.
- You’ll be sent an intake form to complete.
- Within 48 hours after submitting the intake form you’ll receive an email with a sleep plan (actionable sleep suggestions) in dot points.
- The email consult includes two weeks of sleep support. The naturopath will send two check-in emails, usually in the first and second week after you receive your sleep plan. You are also welcome to email any queries during the two weeks after receiving your sleep plan and the naturopath will reply to them, usually within 24-48 hours.
- Please note there is no face-to-face/online telehealthcontact for this service.

Hi, I’m Barbara. I love helping individuals with their sleep.
