Shift Sleep with Genuinely Gentle Methods.
Sleep challenges in babies, toddlers, and children are common — but they can feel overwhelming for parents. Whatever your child’s sleep challenge, from waking frequently to struggling with bedtime, waking early or experiencing sleep anxiety, support is available.
I provide evidence-based, integrative sleep support that honours your child’s development, respects your parenting values, and helps your whole family get better rest.
What I can help with
The Sleep Health Foundation estimates “more than a third of school aged children may have sleep problems”. Many children are wrongly labelled as “difficult” when the underlying issue is inadequate or disrupted sleep.
Hi, I’m Barbara.
I’m a Naturopath and Certified Paediatric Sleep & Wellbeing Specialist. My passion for supporting families began when my own daughter had multiple sleep challenges. I know firsthand how sleep deprivation can impact your energy, mood, and confidence as a parent.
Through additional training in sleep science and psychology I developed an integrative approach that addresses both the underlying causes of sleep challenges and practical strategies that fit your family’s values and needs.

Is the Sleep SOS Consult for me?
You’ve probably heard or already experienced the wide range of sleep advice out there.
The current approaches to sleep in infants and children have been popularly advised to parents for sleep for many years. I find they create more problems than help and research shows they do not decrease night-waking nor improve maternal mood.
I work differently, because you and your family deserve an approach that improves sleep and aligns to your values. An approach that is grounded in the latest neuroscience, sleep science and psychology to promote optimal development outcomes.
I get it.
You need some changes to your family’s sleep.
You’ve maybe tried other sleep coaches and sleep advice and feel like you’ve done everything already.
You might be thinking there is an underlying health issue or other factor contributing to the poor sleep.
You don’t want to leave your baby or child crying it out, but you still want to improve your family’s sleep.
My approach is holistic and seeks to identify the underlying contributors of your sleep challenges.
